71-Year-Old Gitmo Detainee Released

The oldest detainee at Guantanamo Bay — an Afghan man who is at least 71 and hobbled around the U.S. prison in Cuba using a walker — has been sent home, his lawyer said Monday.

"How could I be an enemy combatant if I was not able to stand up?" he asked, according to transcripts released to the AP.

Yeah, see in Afghanistan, the Americans go: "Oh look! That old man over there! He may not be able to walk properly but he sure is a terrorist, let's get 'em!"

A 71-year-old man with a walker. How much more absurd can you get?

Hundreds of innocent Muslims are still (5 years on) being held without charge at Guantanamo Bay by the Americans. Taken away from their wives and children to be kidnapped for no rhyme or reason.
