Look at them, how happy they are. It's their Independence Day after all. They should be happy ... killing Palestinians, destroying their homes and of course, stealing their land. Who wouldn't be happy?
Israel was born at midnight on May 14, 1948. Palestine (under British rule) was to be split between them and the native of the land, the Palestinians. Why is Britain helping to create a new nation for the Jews? Read the Balfour Declaration.
Despite mentioning that "nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine", the reality is unlike it. If such is the case, why the intifada?
